Berlin-based organisation Sprout merges with top-tier LoL organisation RULE, taking over the line-up of the ambitious Prime League team.
The German organisation Sprout is expanding in the esports world. While the Berliners are known for their top-class CS:GO team, a new chapter is to be opened in the MOBA League of Legends in the future. Because with the takeover of RULE, the focus is on looking upwards to the top of the national LoL scene. RULE finished third in the second highest division of the Prime League in the past Summer Split and was in the promotion race for a long time.
“We have clearly thought about further Esport titles in order to position ourselves more broadly,” Sprout manager Daniel Paulus explains the merger with RULE. “Lucas Sude’s team was a perfect fit for us. The team will compete and compete entirely under the Sprout name,” Paulus continued.
With today, Sprout's fruitful ground becomes home to another vigorous seedling. Please, give a warm welcome to our brand-new @LoLGermany team! 🥳

The Div1 team RULE was founded in 2016 under the name Aequilibritas eSports in Wilhelmshaven before being renamed this year. The founder and manager is Lucas “CAPTN” Sude. Promising newcomers who subsequently turned out to be top players already played under him. Among them were Niklot “Tolkin” Stüber and Finn-Lukas “Don Arts” Salomon, who later caused a sensation at mousesports and BIG respectively.
Expertise can be more than money
It is important for those responsible to set up the project securely. “Expertise can go over money, we proved that back then,” emphasises Lucas Sude, whose personnel policy is to go primarily through young talent. “My network is big enough to keep discovering young players and bring them to the top. I am ambitious and love to win,” Sude continues.
Financially, Sprout’s project is covered to be able to pay players at a high-class level. “The budget is based on what can be extracted and what is possible marketing-wise. We live from the mix of team, players and influencers,” explains Daniel Paulus, who sees new opportunities for the entire organisation with the LoL entry.
“Under the flag of Sprout, I see very good conditions to achieve the ambitious goals,” Sude is looking forward to the new challenge. “I really enjoy working with players where I feel they would be ready for the top leagues like Prime League or LEC. A lot of people don’t see the potential in some players, which in turn I can improve.” Paulus appreciates the work of Lucas Sude: “We are keeping Lucas’ recipe for success, we just want to round that off sensibly. That way he can find the diamonds and cut them.”
Sprout’s stated goal is to be promoted to the Pro Division of the Prime League as quickly as possible.
