The first data on the use of the new Mythic Items are known. In the League of Legends Preseason, several frequently chosen items stand out, but especially Sunfire Aegis stands out.
LoL developer Riot Games has released patch 10.24, the first meaningful statistics of the new Mythic Items. Gameplay Design Director Mark “Scruffy” Yetter published a diagram on Monday.

Scruffy describes the beginning of the preseason with the Mythic Items as a “promising start”, which should be improved with further adjustments. At the same time, the Riot Games employee adds that there will be an immediate adjustment for tanks. The reason is a certain Mythic Item.
Sunfire Aegis is the dominant Mythic Item of the preseason so far. It has been used for tanks in 48.4 percent of the cases so far – almost every second case. The Mythic Item is a blessing for already defensive champions like Sion or Cho’Gath. In addition to 30 more points for armor and 350 additional HP, 30 points of magic resistance and 15 bonus points for the new Haste ability are added.
Because it is in the spirit of Riot Games and Scruffy to create “a strategic selection” of Mythic Items, the high value in Sunfire Aegis rather speaks for the opposite of variation. Accordingly, Sunfire Aegis is weakened with the patch 10.25, which starts on Wednesday. The additional HP will be reduced from 450 to 350. Whether this adjustment actually reduces the strong defense of the tanks, players will find out on the server in the coming days.
Also popular Mythic Items are the Duskblade of Draktharr and Eclipse for Assassins like the champion Jhin. These mythic items will also be adapted in the latest patch today. For controllers like Seraphine, Imperial Mandate is also a common option with 38.4 percent. On the other hand, some Mythic Items have been used very rarely, which is why they are also strengthened. These include Galeforce, Everfrost and Zeal. In total 32 items are affected.
