Lost Ark is getting a huge update in March that will let you earn skins, mounts and more in massive PvP battles.

Lost Ark was released in the West about a year ago and was an enormous success for publisher Amazon and the Korean developer Smilegate – with over 1.3 million players at the same time, the MMORPG was even able to outrank CS:GO at times.

Now the servers are much emptier and until a few weeks ago over 60 per cent of the players were cheaters or bots.

With its new update, Lost Ark now wants to bring people back and lets it rip in really massive PvP battles.

What to expect in mass PvP battles

With its next (big update in March) Lost Ark will once again get new content, this time on the newly added continent of Rowen. This continent is fought over by two different factions, the authoritarian Preigelli and the rebellious Liebertans.

When you have reached an area level of 1445, you can choose between the two sides after completing the introductory quest. Once you’ve chosen, you’ll be able to earn faction XP in co-op quests with other players to level up in the factions and earn Sylmael Blood Crystals, which can be traded in for lots of cool loot, such as special skins and mounts.

But the highlight of this confrontation is the massive PvP battlesTwo teams of 48 players each compete on the battlefield of Tulubik.

Here you will have to conquer bases, punch other players in the bell – and if your team has gathered enough resources, you can even summon a ghost knight to assist.

There’s no official trailer for the new update yet, so we’re including a YouTube video for you to watch a full battle on the Tulubik battlefield.

The update is supposed to be released in March, Amazon will reveal an exact release date next week.

How’s it looking for you? Have you remained loyal to Lost Ark after its bumpy start about a year ago? Or could the online role-playing game never really captivate you? Feel free to let us know in the comments.
