During the Developer_Direct stream, the developers from Mojang Studios showed off new content for Minecraft Legends. They also revealed the release date. Fans won’t have to wait much longer for their Minecraft multiplayer experience.
If you haven’t heard of the upcoming game from Mojang, here’s a brief explanation: Minecraft Legends is an action strategy game that you can play in online co-op with up to four other players. The framework story is the Pigling invasion from the Nether, which must be driven back at all costs. Therefore, you go to extremes and even ally yourself with old enemies from the original game. These include creepers, skeletons and zombies.
As the developers have announced, however, there will be more than just co-op content in Minecraft Legends. During yesterday’s stream, the PvP mode was also introduced.
In this mode, you will plunge into exciting 4v4 battles in which the aim is to destroy the base of the opposing team. Before the battle begins, however, the building phase begins. During this time you must collect resources and build your own base. You can design it as you wish and equip it with traps to make it as difficult as possible for the other team. Troops must also be raised during this phase.
Then it’s time for the battle, where you’ll have to command both attack and defence troops in order to win.
Minecraft Legends will be available from 18 April for PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. From day 1, the strategy game will be part of Game Pass.
