At the last Minecraft live event, developer Mojang unveiled a new biome. The enemies there only move when you’re not looking.

And it’s a doozy: Because The Pale Garden

Horror-Ents in the Creepy Forest
The Pale Garden is a new forest biome thatis designed to create an eerie and spooky atmosphere
. There is a mysterious silence between the trees even during the day, and the colors are desaturated, making the forest look almost black and white. The visibility is severely limited by the hanging moss.
However, the creepy factor is provided by theCreaking
, a new monster type thatreminds of an Ent from Lord of the Rings. Due to their tree-like appearance, the Creakings are perfectly camouflaged in the forest. When night falls, they emerge and hunt you. The scary thing is that the Creaking is hard to see because if you look in its direction, it doesn’t move, but stands still like a tree.
However, the characteristic creaking noises give you a chance to hear the creaking ahead of time Direct attacks on the tree opponents are ineffective; sword blows ricochet off their bark. To survive the encounter with the creaking, you must search for the creaking heart hidden somewhere in the forest.
Of course, there are also new blocks to match the new biome, such as pale oak wood and moss, which you can use to decorate your world. It is currently still unclear when exactly The Pale Garden
will be released, but a date around Halloween would be perfect for such a creepy biome, don’t you think?!

On Reddit, some users compare the movement mechanics of the new monster to the indie horror game SCP 173, in which there was also an enemy that did not move when looked at. The concept for such enemy types, popular in the horror genre, is called Weeping Angels

The new update is definitely an important step in providing survival fans with more content.
However, there is also criticism of the new update: Because in the eyes of some fans, the new forest is nothing more than are-colored
version of the previous Dark Oak biome with denser trees and slightly different colors. So the Bleacher Garden update is not a major revolution for Minecraft.
