It’s annoying, creepy and a little funny all at the same time: Cheaters block the view of opponents in R6: Siege with suddenly appearing images – an oversized chicken is particularly popular.
Rainbow Six: Siege has been struggling with cheaters for quite some time. They fly, see through walls, hit every target or have significantly more health points – you know the drill. But there is currently a cheat circulating that is highly unusual … and it has to do with chickens and penises.
If you come across one of these hackers, a large image will pop up in your game from time to time during the match and block your view. Most of the time it’s a cartoon chicken, but it wouldn’t be the internet if there weren’t some images of penises among them.
You can see what this looks like (with the chicken, not the genitals!) in the following video:
Why only now?
Rainbow Six: Siege has been on the market for over seven years, but the unusual cheat has only recently surfaced. The reason for this is probably the new update: Season 4 has only been on the market for a few weeks and, in addition to some major changes, has also redesigned the main menu and the HUD. Ubisoft may have made a mistake there, at least that’s what streamer Uplynxed suspects on Twitter:
RainbowSixSiege PSA:
TURN OFF THE BAN TICKER IN THE HUD SETTINGS RIGHT NOW, cheaters are exploiting it to show arbitrary images, including NSFW.
This can get you banned if you’re streaming, but you can disable it and you shouldn’t see it after.

What can I do about it?
Uplynxed says that Ubisoft has recently fixed the problem themselves, but if you want to be on the safe side, here’s a trick to keep the chickens off your screen:
- Go to the Rainbow Six Siege settings menu and click on
HUD
- Scroll down to the sub-item
Match Information
– turn off the tabBans
. This means that the numerous bans against cheaters will no longer be displayed on the page, but also that no unwanted images will appear on your monitor.
Have you already had a chicken pop up on your screen or have you been spared from involuntary images? And do you find the cheat (apart from the penises) amusing or just exhausting despite the cuddly hens? Feel free to let us know in the comments!
