Appointed price changes for VALORANT will drastically change the cost of various weapons in the game.

New leaks on VALORANT speculate if a revamp of the purchase menu could be imminent. These price changes would potentially alter the metagame of Eco rounds, as “lower cost” weapons would be the most affected in this alleged update.

Notably, the price shift will not affect the Phantom or the Vandal, which will remain at their current prices.

Most weapons will see their price drop as a result. Frenzy, Stinger, Bucky, Bulldog, Guardian, Marshall, Operator and Ares will all receive a price reduction. Perhaps most notably, the Operator sniper rifle will be reduced from 5,000 to 4,700 total credits. This means that the weapon will be available more regularly.

The only weapon set to receive a price increase is the Judge. The shotgun will rise from 1,600 credits to a whopping 1,850 credits. This move would be a possible response to the criticism the weapon has received from the community in recent months.

Many have already voiced their concerns and dissatisfaction over the possible change. The Frenzy’s price drop could add to its already constant presence in pistol rounds. Ares and Bucky are also strong options for Eco rounds that could give teams an advantage.

Furthermore, a new skin bundle is to be released. It will be called “Origin” and will offer more visual options. Exactly when all the changes might occur is currently a mystery. The potential time frame ranges from the upcoming patch to Episode 3.
