A brand new VALORANT map is set to be released with Patch 6.0 on 10 January, along with unique mechanics.
Some time has passed since the last release of a new VALORANT map. But according to leaker Mike (@valorleaks), that is about to change very soon!
In a tweet he posted this teaser:

Although Riot Games developers have been rather cagey about the new map so far, Joe Lansford revealed that a new mechanic will be added with the new map.
When is the new map coming?
The VALORANT 6.0 update is supposed to be released in early January 2023 according to official information, but according to the leaker the patch will be released as early as 10 January . From experience we know that Mike’s leaks are very often correct.

The new update is said to include (following changes):
- Split will return – with a few changes! (More about this in the patch notes 6.0)
- Breeze and Bind will disappear from the card pool of the Competitive and Unrated queues – no date has been set for their return
- Breeze and Bind will be available in Spike Rush , custom games and other game modes
