What was Riot thinking with Lotus? Bug map could become VALORANT”s ranked disaster

The new VALORANT map Lotus doesn”t seem to be completely bug-free. These are the most frustrating and crazy bugs

At the start of the new Episode 6 on 10 January, the new map Lotus was introduced in VALORANT. It is not yet included in the normal and ranked pools, but only in the smaller and one extra modes.

This is probably a good thing, because more and more bugs and glitches are appearing on the map. What”s in store for VALORANT players from 18 January?

Besides the door is in the door

At first glance, one is struck by the high bug potential of revolving doors. What happens when agents with certain abilities teleport into the door gap with a time delay as it closes? Like Phoenix after his Ultimate expires.

Will everything really go smoothly when the agent and the moving wall collide?

The answer: no, of course not. Not always, anyway.

Killjoy can also merge with the revolving door and continue to fire the gun from it, with a view on both sides. All she has to do is place her turret in front of the door and stand in between.

Headshot walls in spawn

Imagine holding the entrance to a site at the beginning of the round and assuming that enemies will have to run halfway across the map and around two corners to meet you – and then you get an operator headshot from the enemy spawn in second one. That has a pretty high frustration potential.

Superfluous destructible wall

One of the special mechanics on the map is a cracked wall that blocks the transition from B-Site towards A-Site. This can be destroyed with a few shots. But only after the round has started.

Otherwise it would be quite superfluous. It would be a shame if someone found a place where the pre-round protection can be bypassed…

Sage wall as anti-flash

Funnily enough, climbing the Sage wall, in some places on Lotus, results in immunity to Flashes. This includes the corner of C-Hall or the entrance of B-Main from the attacker spawn. The days of the flash turn are thus probably over.

Place spike? Forget it!

If you can place the spike on one side of the box in the marked frame, you should be able to do the same on the other side. I guess Riot doesn”t see it that way.

Because on the A site, you can spam “4” all you want, the placement process won”t start.

Remove spike? Forget it!

Normally, the spike should fall back to the ground with a few little bounces, should it be put down somewhere where not every agent can reach it.

Too bad that there is a wall on the A-Site where the spike will stay if Jett puts it down with two jumps.

Although these bugs may seem amusing at first glance, many players will quickly lose their laughter when the round in ranked play is decided by them.

VALORANT players can only hope that Riot will fix these bugs in a patch by 18 January. Otherwise, many ranked matches could end unpleasantly.
