Blizzard has announced three new expansions at BlizzCon. We have summarized all the information for you so far

There’s some exciting news about the MMO legend World of Warcraft, as the most successful online multiplayer RPG of all time is set to receive three new expansions over the next few years that will take the story of Thrall, Anduin and co. even further. We’ll tell you what we can look forward to and what we already know about the first add-on.

All good things come in threes

As is customary at Blizzard, big news is traditionally unveiled at the company’s own trade show, BlizzCon&nbsp. This time too, the company has come up with something special for its fans and unveiled three new expansions for its successful World of Warcraft product at the convention, which takes place from November 3 to 5.

  • World of Warcraft: The War Within (Release: Fall 2024)
  • World of Warcraft: Midnight (Release: probably 2026)
  • World of Warcraft: The Last Titan (Release: presumably 2028)

While we don’t yet have any details about the content of Midnight and The Last Titan, we already know some details about The War Within.

  • We meet Neruber in her underground kingdom
  • Earth Dwarves are introduced as a new allied race
  • Three new areas are waiting to be explored
  • “Dragon Riding” will be unlocked for all flight mounts
  • So-called “Delves” are introduced as new mini-instances for smaller groups
  • Introduction of “Warbands”, making reputation, bank slots and unlocks available for multiple characters
  • Transmog is unlocked for every character in the collection, even if characters can’t actually wear armor

So it goes on

In terms of content, the three expansions revolve around the Worldsoul Saga, which centers around the legendary Sleeping Titans and the land of Azeroth. In The War Within, we travel to the underground of Azeroth and enter the kingdom of the Nerubians

The first of the three expansions, The War Within, is scheduled for release in fall 2024. Blizzard is therefore remaining true to its previous release schedule and will continue to release a new add-on every two years.

The last expansion Dragonflight was released on November 29, 2022 and, in addition to the Dragon Isles, also introduced the new Dracthyr race and the associated Dracthyr Caller class to the game.

Most likely two years after The War Within Midnight will be released, in which the elven races will unite. In the last add-on of the thematic trilogy The Last Titan the Titans will return and there will be a grand finale in icy Northrend, what a surprise.
