WoW’s Battle Royale mode will be phased out at the end of the month and Blizzard will double your reputation gain during this time.
Plunderstorm, Blizzard’s fantasy MMO, received a Battle Royale mode in March 2024. The event in World of Warcraft is limited in time, however, and officially ends on May 1, 2024.
If you are still missing some of the rewards or even if you want to join for the first time, you can benefit from a generous reputation boost in the last few days.
Gain more reputation in Plunderstorm in no time at all
Blizzard has announced the end of Plunderstorm The experimental game mode will disappear at the end of the month. For the remaining time, the “Loot Wave” buff is permanently active, which doubles your reputation gain (including victory bonus) from each match.
This naturally halves the time you need to unlock a total of 40 fame levels. As a reward, you will receive mounts, pets, cosmetic items, titles and merchant currency
How Plunderstorm works
If you find it hard to imagine a Battle Royale in WoW, we’ll briefly explain how it works:
- 60 players land alone or in a duo in the Arathi Highlands. A thunderstorm gradually reduces the size of the map. A round takes about ten to 15 minutes.
- For Plunderstorm you create a new character You don’t need to own any of the expansions to play, just an active WoW subscription.
- You start each match at level 1 and earn XP by defeating NPCs and other players. Not only do you loot “loot” from enemies and chests, which determines your reputation at the end, but you also receive spells and abilities You can equip these in limited slots, combine them freely and upgrade them.
- If you are defeated, you will still receive the reputation you have collected up to that point as a reward.
- For a fame level you must collect 2,500 reputation points
- The rewards all have a pirate theme and can be used in Dragonflight as well as in Wrath of the Lich King Classic .
While Plunderstorm is coming to an end, the next WoW expansion The War Within is just around the corner.
