The master of the wild tames a variety of animals that support him in battle to the death.
The Beast Mastery Hunter in World of Warcraft relies on his animal companions to give his opponents a good run for their money. Alternatively, you can also resort to the damage specializations Survival and Marksmanship.
The most important changes
The Arcane Shot, Retreat, Eyes of the Beast, Ice Cold Trap, Mark of the Hunter, Lethal Shot, Frighten Beast, and Lulling Shot abilities are now available to all Hunter specializations.
You now have room for up to 200 companions in your stable. Misdirection’s duration now starts after the first attack within 30 seconds of activation and runs for eight seconds. In the Shadowlands, hunters can now tame a variety of new animals, including cloud serpents and undead wildlife.
With the new Pack Tactics passive ability, passive focus generation is increased by 100%. Your area attacks Predator Strikes and Multiple Shot now only hit a maximum of five targets, and Barrage now hits a maximum of eight targets. Cobra Shot now increases the duration of Concussive Shot by three seconds.
Wrath of the Beast now also does instant damage, rather than Bloodshed, is a new level 50 talent. Use this to have your companion slash the target. This causes bleeding and temporarily increases all damage done by your pet by 15%.
How to play the Beast Domination Hunter
For the Beast Domination Hunter, you should consider the following attribute priority:
- Agility
- Critical hit chance
- Speed
- Versatility
- Mastery
Use Aspect of the Wild whenever it is available. Against single targets, use Spiked Arrow if the Frenzy effect of it is before it expires or you have two charges of Spiked Arrow. Activate Wrath of the Beast.
When the target’s health drops below 20%, Deadly Shot takes top priority. Give your companion the kill command. To consume Focus and to shorten the cooldown of Kill Command, use Kobra Shot.
