The gates of the Shadowlands have been open since midnight on 24 November and the servers of World of Warcraft: Shadowlands are currently still withstanding the onslaught. Millions of players are currently questing, looting and leveling their way through the new regions, trying to figure out what villain Sylvanas Windläufer and the mysterious dungeon master are up to.

Well, not everyone is interested in the story, because the first speed levelers had already reached the new maximum level 60 about three hours after the release. In this article we will explain to you which trick they used to do this.

Shadowlands Level 60 in only 3 hours – this is how it works

The player Monkeylool from the European server Al’akir has secured the so-called World First with his record time – i.e. as the first player in the world to secure the maximum level in Shadowlands.

This is how he did it: Instead of questing through the different areas of Shadowlands, Monkeylool simply completed the non-skipable introduction in the area “The Gorge” and then played in the following area Bastion until he unlocked the dungeon “The Necrotic Aisle”.

Afterwards, he and two guild friends have repeatedly signed up for the dungeon, because it can be completed in only 3 to 5 minutes, but each time it yields a lot of experience points.

Actually, only players up to level 56 can register for the Necrotic Lane, which is why he and his fellow players had to rely on a trick: If a group member is still below level 56, he can register for the dungeon – even if his comrades have already crossed the level limit.

As there were several players waiting at level 51 in his guild, Monkeylool was able to register for the worthwhile dungeon with a new group without interruption and thus reach level 60 in record time.
