Bungie announces a surprise crossover of Destiny 2 with The Witcher franchise that will add attractive content to the shooter.
Bungie has announced a Destiny 2 crossover with The Witcher franchise that will debut with the start of the 23rd season. The recently unveiled Season of Desire in Destiny 2 begins on November 28.
Bungie is no stranger to collaborating with brands, having been involved in half a dozen crossovers for Destiny 2 in the last 12 months alone. Most of those promotions were one-sided affairs that only added unique content to the company’s loot shooter. The only actual content swap happened in late 2022 as part of Destiny 2’s crossover with Assassin’s Creed, which also saw Assassin’s Creed Valhalla receive a few sets of Guardian-inspired armor.
This newly announced collaboration appears to be another one-way promotion, though CD Projekt Red is still technically updating its latest game, The Witcher. Anyway, it looks like only Destiny 2 will be getting content as part of this partnership, with Bungie revealing that the collaboration will feature various cosmetic products inspired by Geralt of Rivia: Emotion, Finisher, Ghost shell, Ship, Sparrow, and Armor Ornaments.

All newly confirmed cosmetic products will be added to the game as part of the Season of the Wish update. Bungie hasn’t said anything about how the items will be sourced, so it remains to be seen whether the crossover content will arrive in the form of random drops, fixed rewards, or both. The only thing that’s certain is thatThe Witchercosmetics will be tied to Season 23 activities. The price of the game’s season pass is currently 1200 pieces of silver, which equates to $12,

The timing of this crossover’s announcement coincides with the recent launch of the massiveDestiny 2Black Friday 2023sale where Bungie made huge discounts, as much as 67%, on a wide variety of the game’s content. All of these deals will be available until November 28. Meanwhile, the Bungie Store Black Friday sale will also begin on November 24, in which some of Bungie’s retired rewards will return in limited quantities. The Bungie Store sale will also introduce a flat $7 shipping fee for all US, EU and UK orders, instead of calculating shipping costs based on distance.
