In the Overwatch League 2020 there will be home games for the first time, in which the teams travel to different cities and thus play directly in front of the fans. However, these are not under a good star.

As recently reported, some games of the Overwatch League 2020 have been cancelled. This affected all Chinese matches that were supposed to take place in February and March. The reason for this is the danger of infection by the coronavirus.

Blizzard has decided to take this step to ensure that the Chinese teams are safe and no fan has to fear the danger of infection. There were already catch-up dates for the cancelled matches and these were to be played in weeks 6 and 7 in Seoul. But this will not happen anymore.

More matches in Korea cancelled
As the corona virus continues to rage and there are many new cases of the disease in Korea every day, Blizzard has decided to take further steps.

On Twitter they announced that the OWL will cancel all catch-up games in week 6 and 7 in Korea. Furthermore, the home game of week 5 in Seoul is cancelled. In addition, there was an apology on Twitter from Seoul Dynasty.

Even if it is not easy for the team to cancel this first home game in Seoul, this step must be taken to protect the players and fans. Fans will definitely get their money back and make up for the games.

Due to the corona virus the Overwatch League gets a very bad start in the Asian countries. Many matches cannot be played at the moment. When these matches will be made up and in which form, is not yet certain.
